Our practice is slow, deep, and meditative, laced with tapping, breath, and movement exercises to bring you into the present moment and help calm the amygdala – the fear processor of your brain. By using inclusive and accommodating teaching queues and techniques, we can focus on stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system and calming the sympathetic nervous system response, instead of worrying about whether or not we belong in class. When we come to these spaces and repeatedly practice this mind/body connection, we release tension, strengthen the body, and move towards true healing and transformation.
It’s important to note that it is more than just large bodies that have been historically excluded from places of wellness and healing.
